DQ

*DQ= Drama Queen

Riley is starting to catch up with Reese... in the 'terrible 2s' area, that is. :) They are mostly sweet as can be- so fun, talkative, playful, and loving, but suddenly- in a split second: the Super DQ escapes (esp Riley). Laying on tummy, kicking feet, screaming. Then it's over and we go on our merry way. It's slightly humorous, but really... it's not. (I wrote about this emotional roller coaster on the How Do You Do It blog today here).

Riley has been cracking me up lately! I wanted to tell you about her silliness/drama today:
- We went to Library Story Time today for the first time. She did NOT want to go in the room. I think she thought I was going to leave her (another phase she's in... wants mama all the time). I had to pull her in while she was yelling, "No! No! No! No!"

- As soon as the singing began, she (and Reese) started breaking it down! Dancing and loving it. She then made her way to the front of the class for all to see her performance. Such a ham!!

- When we were singing, "If You're Happy and You Know It." On the last verse, everyone was singing, 'shout: Hooray!' But that's not how we sing it at home and Riley was very aware of that. She looked at me confused then hollered, "MAYMEN!" (Amen) with both her hands raised in the air. That's how we sing it at home. :) It was so funny!

- This afternoon the girls and I were playing in the backyard and I had left the back door open. Riley went in and started closing the door (after I told her not to). She was laughing and laughing until she realized she was stuck inside. :) She began screaming and crying. Then started ringing the bell on the door knob that our dog rings when she wants outside. ha haha!

That girl cracks me up. She's snuggly, gives fabulous hugs and kisses, has the best laugh (real and fake- she knows she's funny!), she's teeny tiny (it's funny to see her walking), yet she's feisty and can hold her own. As I've said before, it saved her little 2 lb life in the NICU. I love her love her love her. I'm proud at how far my little DQ has come and I love how she keeps me on my toes. :)

We have one of those "DQ's" at our house too! B&R need to meet...I'm sure they would be best friends!

Riley's DQ attitude is the stinkin' cutest thing ever because she is soooo tiny with such a huge personality!! Her fits look like something on a sitcom ... The way she is on her tummy while she perfectly kicks her legs and pounds her fists!!!
