Show Us Where You Live: Baby Showers

Every Friday I want to participate in Kelly's Show Us Where You Live posts, BUT I haven't stopped long enough to take pics of my house (when it's clean) or scan wedding photos (I got married before the big digital photo craze... am i that old?!), etc.  BUT I DO have a few baby shower pics and ideas, so I'll post (or some are reposts) those!

My 1st Baby Shower (given by my friends from work)...

My wonderful friends made an amazing diaper bake, chicken salad sandwiches, fruit kabobs, chocolate dipped pretzels, and my FAVORITE cookies.  They are my friend Katie's Mom's sugar cookies- it's a secret recipe.  So Richey and I beg for Mary Ann and/or Katie to make them for us every holiday. :)  We LOVE them!

Woah!  Preggo flashback the day of the shower (I was 22 weeks... and HUGE)

My 2nd Shower...

My amazingly talented friend, Martha made not one but TWO diaper cakes for me!  Isn't she amazing?!  They were full of surprises- like blankets, baby lotion, washcloths, and onesies.

  

The cake was awesome and SO delicious!  Look at the 4 little booties!  Society Bakery in Dallas is divine!

All the decor and goodies were great.  Here's a shot of the table.

WHOA another preggo flashback.  23 weeks along... and look how swollen my legs/ankles are!

The latest shower I helped throw was for my good friend, Rachel, when she was pregnant with baby Drew.

We did a "sweet baby" theme with lots of blue and brown goodies.  Rach has a major sweet tooth (me too!) and babies are just soooo sweet, so it was perfect.  

I used coffee beans to fill jars (to take up space when needed) and it made the whole house smell delicious.  We had rock candy, chocolate dipped pretzels, blue raspberry jellybeans, whoppers, hershey kisses, giant blue lollypops, cookies, and a bunch of  different salads.

The strawberry cake (Rachel's fav) was GREAT and it matched Drew's bedding!
