Yesterday:
I always laugh about the fact that I will not ‘potty in peace’ for many years to come. I mean really, Reese and Riley- can’t Mommy sneak away for a quick moment without you accompanying me into the tiniest space in our entire home? It becomes a party. The dog even joins us… good thing she’s small. The girls begin naming everything they see (good thing they don’t have a complete vocab yet -haha! JK): potty, paper, trash, sink… yesterday while accompanying me, they began the oh so fun game of ‘SLAM the door.’ If sister is in the way? Doesn’t matter- game must go on. Dog in the way? Still slamming. Mommy says no? Still playing with the door. I mean, let’s face it: when pottying, we are a bit ‘tied down‘ if you will, and I think our kids know it! ha!
Today:
I have a migraine. An awful one. My dog is sick and has been for a few days for some reason. She's throwing up- which requires lots of clean up and time not staring at my daring toddlers. Just now while cleaning up dog throw up in the kitchen, I heard the box of Graham cracker sticks getting dumped out. I came back into the living room where I found them EVERYWHERE, but also found Riley picking them up and placing them back in the box. Good girl. I found Reese climbing on the couch throwing pillows and cushions down. Earlier I found her on her climbing onto her bookshelf as if it were a chair (with all the books on the floor around her feet). And before that I looked up and saw she was no longer riding her 'bike,' but rather standing on it- surfboard like. I believe TIME OUTS will become part of our routine starting this week. Oh AND they're teething which equals grumpy runny nose faces. The only vet appointment I could get for my dog today is at 4PM... the arsenic hour. My babysitter's not available. My nephew's been sick, so my sister can't watch the girls. I'm dreading it. Did I mention I have a migraine today? Ugh! I see a bribery smoothy in our future. Maybe that will help?

I have no idea how you Mom's do it when you have migraines! I've suffered with migraines for many years and it literally knocks me on my ass.
Hope you feel better soon ♥
*hugs*
This too shall pass.
For a minute, I thought you had snuck into our world and were writing about the Key House. The "POP" potty in peace is rare or never in our house too. I also have a little dog that I need to take to the vet for shots and I'm so glad you just confirmed it...not to take the girls with me. I'm sure our experience would be worse. I hope you are having a better day today!
Once, when AJ and Jay were 2.5 and 1.5 respectively, I decided I *would pee in peace...I came out to Jay covered in "butt cream". The child was head to toe white, covered in the thick extra strong Desitin!! It really took days to get the smell off of him!!!
