Weekend of Favorites

Last week, I left my favorite guy,

and my favorite little girls

with my sister to meet up with our mama- 2 of my favorites!

Friday afternoon, Leah and I hit the road!

On the road again -
Just can't wait to get on the road again.
The life I love is making music with my friends

And I can't wait to get on the road again.
On the road again

Goin' places that I've never been.

Seein' things that I may never see again

the little town of Burton where we stayed in a precious Bed and Breakfast: The Knittel Homestead Inn.

We stayed in the 'guest house' in the Attic- with 4 twin beds. It was too cute.

We had lots of fun girl time... kid-free!

And we walked one block over to eat at a wonderful French restaurant: the Brazos Belle Inn
It was delicious!
and a really cool old house
The next morning, we awoke to coffee brewing below us (awesome!) and went to the main house for a fabulous breakfast.

After coffee and breakfast, we hit the road once again (15 miles) to Warrenton to Antique Show eager to see Annalee and family, stop by our favorite Junk Gypsy booth, and hunt for great finds.

And I can't wait to get on the road again.
On the road again -

Like a band o
f gypsies we go down the highway
We're the best of friends.
Insisting that the world keep turning our way

Our first stop was to Royer's Cafe to find Annalee.
Roomies reunited.
We got to meet GRAHAM- Annalee's new sweet baby boy. He was PRECIOUS.

He adored Leah
LOOK at that face!!
(How did we NOT get any pics of big sister, Adelaide?!)

THEN, next stop- our FAV: JuNk GyPsY

where there's lots of junk, cute shirts, and funky jewelry.
love it all

we did NOT get any flamingos, :) but we did load up on cutie tshirts (even for the kids), a JG mug, and jewelry. I'd say: MiSsIoN AcCoMpLiShEd.

Next stop: Eat lunch at Royer's Cafe for our favorite chicken salad sandwich.

AFter lunch, we shopped til we dropped- picking up some flip flops, other goodies, and I found a neat old window I'm going to put black and white pics in/on and hang it above our bed. I'm excited!

What a fabulous weekend with my favorite girls.
Until next year...

I can't wait to get on the road again.
On the road again

How Absolutely FUN!!! You make me want to have another girl so that Hannah will have a sister and I can take my girls places. What a fun mother/daughter/sister trip!!! Soon Reese and Riley will be there right along with you! You can teach them how to SHOP! (I'm sure they are learning already)

looks like you girls had a great time. It is soooo important to find kid free time with other adults, and when you do it's amazing how well you can concentrate on your conversation without...well you know!
I was looking for the french toast recipe you had on here a few months ago. I hope to make it for Easter Brunch! Can you direct me to it or email me the entry? Thanks and hope you have a great Easter!
