YES. I have twins. NO- it's not easy when trying to grocery shop (or ever really).
Yes- I AM busy- fabulous observation (as I'm picking up the groceries flying out
the back thanks to Riley, grabbing Reese's milk that flies the other direciton,
shoving snacks in their mouths, all the while trying to read my grocery list
and actually... you know, GET my groceries.)
YES- they are cute. Thank you, I know. They know even more. That's why they're
laughing hysterically and talking to you and squealing until you look at them
and pay them some attention. They like that and make sure you do to.
A zoo exhibit. That's what I feel like. Faces smooshed on glass staring right at us. Watching our every move. Wondering HOW it's done. WHO we are. And WHAT the heck we're going to do next. Ever felt this way??

yes, yes and yes. i'm pretty sure it's just our lot in life. as often as possible i save the errand running for after charlie comes home, but that usually means that i quarantine myself to the house, which is just as bad as a crazy outting, i think. it's lose-lose in that way, but their cuteness sure makes up for it :)
Oh my gosh, totally!
Don't you just love it? I used to call myself Staci's traveling circus. It's just nuts the amount of time we spend answering strangers questions when we could be shopping.
I can so relate. I wrote a similiar post about taking all 4 of my kids a few weeks ago. I am proud of you for getting everything on your list!!
You should write a book! Seriously...you have a talent! I loved this post! I wish I could watch your "exhibit" in real life! Let me know the next time you head out for some groceries! LOL These are the days you'll always remember! :)
Wow I can't imagine how hard that must be! It's hard enough with one! Moms of twins amaze me....you are doing a wonderful job!!
I felt like this last weekend when we drug all 3 kids to the bank Saturday morning to open 3 accounts, cash a savings bond, buy a savings bond, and get a safety deposit box. Yes.....we were one of THOSE families with kids running wild while we attempted to do important business. I finally walked all 3 back to the car by myself while Pete finished up. ugh
And that was with BOTH of us there to wrangle the kids.
I especially love it when other people awkwardly smile and look away.....I always wonder what they're really thinking! :-)
I feel your pain! I have to grocery shop alone most of the time. My husband's job takes him away frequently. We live in Japan and we don't have shopping carts that are two seaters, so I put them in the stroller and push the stroller with one hand and pull the cart with the other. Yes, I feel like a three ring circus, but what really irks me is why don't people say, "You really have your hands full" to the moms that have kids wrecking havoc on the store. The ones with kids that are dressed inappropriately with snotty faces and messy hair. We're put together and people still think I have my hands full. Many people have two kids! So go tell them how you feel about their live, too! I'm contemplating wearing a shirt that says, "Don't Talk to me!" and putting the girls in shirts that say, "Yes, were identical twin GIRLS!"
Yes, actually I feel like that EVERYTIME we go anywhere...grocery, Target, etc.
I feel your pain! :)
I'm laughing while I read this post because I know that this is how it's going to be for me when Hope and Savannah get bigger. Oh boy is it going to be fun :~)
Your girls are so adorable by the way...so much personality. And the leggings are cute too! I was looking at some the other day wondering how they would look...now I definitely want some.
Yes. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.
Since hubby doesn't live with us often, the kids accompany me everywhere but work. I actually have a T-shirt that answers all those questions, and more. People ask them anyway when I wear it.
I've been reading One and the Same, and the author says that she and her twin were natural performers in part because, being identical twins, everything they did was stared at. They were always on display.
