I love that one of my best friends since 6th grade (16 years!!) may not live in the same city as me, but when we chat it feels like we are 14 again lying on the bed having a slumber party talking for so long, we just fall asleep. I love her words- last night we were talking about how blessed we are to have such an amazing lasting friendship. She said, "I've known you so long, you have helped form me into who I am." What an honor. I love that... I mean she is a professor and writer and DOES have her PhD in literature so she DOES have a way with words, but what a beautiful picture that paints! The same way our Lord formed us in our mother's womb, he places people in our lives to form us- to grow us closer to him, point us to him, love us, laugh with us, support and encourage us. How awesome!
Thank you, Lord for community!

So true Amy!. I think that is a reason I like the song For Good in Wicked so much "you'll be with me like a handprint on my heart and whatever way our stories end I know you have rewritten mine by being my friend!" that is what I thought about when I read the words of your friend. I cannot wait for the Twilight party!!!!
I happen to know who that friend you're talking about is. She is pretty great. What a sweet post - and so true - we need others so much.
