1st Birthday Party (Part 1)

Saturday we celebrated Reese and Riley's 1st birthday with family and a few close friends.  It was a wonderful day!  They LOVED all the attention ;) and LOVED their cake too. :)  I loved making things for their party- the invitations, banner, food, the decor- it was so much fun and I think everything turned out really well!  Here's some pics and recipes too...
The table!
(minus our chicken salad sandwiches :)  they were in the making!)

Pink beads added a little something to the chandelier!

Reese and Riley's AMAZING strawberry zebra cake.  It was SERIOUSLY the BEST cake I've EVER had.  It was made by friends of my sister and bro in law.  If you live in the DFW area and you want their number- let me know!

Sweet baby Reese and her cake!

Sweet tiny Riley and her cake!

Cupcake Pops (Devils' Food Cake!) Click here for the recipe from Bakerella.

Some salty treats!

Cream Cheese Mints (to diiiiiiie for!)  I got this recipe from Jill's Blog.

BEAUTIFUL flowers sent to the girls from their "3rd set of grandparents" :)

We also served some delish drinks (I didn't take pics of the cute jars- oh well!)
* Cherry Limeade (click here for recipe)
* Spiked Cranberry Lemonade (click here for recipe)

Partaaaay favors- strawberry marshmallows dipped in chocolate and candy wrapped up in ice cream cones.

Part 2 coming soon- full of pics of the ONE YEAR OLDS, cake, and presents!  AND Baby Dedication at church.  What a great weekend!

Wow what a cute party! I stumbled upon your blog through one of the multiples websites. I am pregnant with twin girls and love reading about what life is like with twins. God has blessed you with two beautiful girls. Great job on the party.

Awesome decorations. You did a great job. You didn't say, did you hold it together for the first birthday party? It is tough thinking about your babies being one. I did it just a few months ago. Can't wait to see pics of the girlies.
