So... I failed...

I failed my glucose test. :(  They like to see your blood sugar between 60-140 and mine was 162, so Wednesday is the lovely day in which I get to do the 3 hour glucose test.  I'm dreading it... it will consist of drinking a yucky orange sugary drink (tastes like cough medicine), wait an hour, then get my blood taken.  Drink yucky orange sugary drink #2, wait an hour, then get my blood taken. And drink yucky orange sugary drink #3, wait an hour, then get my blood taken.  All on an empty stomach... this pregnant lady needs to eat!  That's the main part I'm dreading- being hungry. :) ha!  I will survive...

That is no fun. What do you have to do for the long test? I forget. I know I had to it with Jill, though.

oh amy, i am so sorry! i failed it the first time to, but passed the second time so hang in there!
i'm not going to lie- the 3 hour glucose test was pretty miserable to sit through. but you can do it!!! my advice...
1) whatever you do don't throw up or you have to start over again
2) have richey or someone go with you, you will not want to drive
3)take a book or some magazines to distract yourself inbetween
4) bring a pillow in case you just want to close your eyes.

I am sooooo sorry! I don't have much advice there. I hope you pass the 3 hour test! Your babies are getting here so soon, can't wait to see their precious faces.

I love Annalee's advice! Definitely bring something to read or your IPod to listen to so that you are distracted!! You can do it!!

Hey! Good luck on the glucose tolerance test. yuck! Jason's g-ma is doing okay as far as I know. We haven't heard tons of details, but the doctors think that they removed all of the mass and nothing spread to the lymph nodes. praise God for that! i know she'll have a long recovery though. thanks for the prayers!
