People Watching... it's priceless.

*Went to doc this morning (my life :) ) and did the gestational diabetes test... drank the oh so delicious orange PURE SUGAR drink (ewwwww) and goodness did Reese and Riley LOVE IT!  They were moving SOOOOO much.  They even kicked the doctor when she was measuring my belly and were all over the place when she did the sono.  They were pushing on each other- it was cracking us up.  Reese is feet down and I definitely could have told you that before I saw it... I feel it!!  Riley is head down, so on my left side I feel lots of movement from her little feet at the top of my belly.  All looks good-- thank you, Lord.  Just have to wait, wait, wait for these girls to get here.  I should know in a few days if I "passed" by test...

*While drinking my drink in the waiting room, a lady literally in labor was on her cell telling her hubby what to pack and to come get her to go straight to the hospital.  She would stop every few sentences and laugh at me and cheer me on-- like you gotta drink it fast, girl! and you can do it!  ha ha!  I guess I was making yucky faces.  It cracked me up.  SHE was the one IN LABOR and she was so sweet to me! :) ha!

*Warning: this is rude. :).... later in the waiting room, in comes in this man and his wife who was looking: PITIFUL... she was hardly opening her eyes, leaning on him and looked like she possibly hadn't showered.  I turned to Richey with huge eyes and whispered, "What's wrong with her?!"  We couldn't help but stare and almost laugh.  It was so bizarre!  The husband signed her in as she sat on the couch across from us... I was holding my breath in case she was really ill or something!  When he came over to the couch he asked her to move over!  She's the one practically on her death bed... why can't he sit on the other side of her?  Once he sat down, she laid in his lap... awkward!  Anyway, she was called back a couple minutes later and staggered back, and  after a couple more minutes, I was called back again to get my blood taken for my blood sugar.  Nosy me asked the nurse as 'sick lady' walked by, "Is that lady ok?!" and she rolled her eyes and said the lady complained to her that she had a headache and had had fever yesterday.  UHHHHH.... HELLO??!!  This is NOT the family doctor, nor the internist, this is an OB/GYN.  If you're sick... go somewhere else and don't get pregnant ladies sick.  Duh.  It really was strange.... Sorry for my rudeness... :) ha!

Doctor's offices really are great places to watch people... any good stories from your experiences??? :)

ooohh the glucose test. apparently the nurse who took my blood the day i did mine was mad at her boyfriend or something. i had bruises for days! AND i falied it, so had to go back for the 3 hour test, where they take your blood 3 or 4 times...same nurse, still angry, more bruises. :)

so good to hear that the girls are doing so well!!

Gosh, I forgot about the glucose test. Blah! I had to go back for the 3 hour test also. Thankfully, I had a nurse that was GREAT at drawing blood, but unfortunately I had to lay down the entire 3 hours to keep from puking! :-) Pete picked me up at the doctor's office afterwards and asked if he could run an errand before we went to lunch. That is NOT what you ask a pregnant lady who hasn't been allowed to eat all day! haha

Glad to hear everything is going well!

I LOVE that the lady in labor was cheering you on! That's great! Now, that sick lady ... she should have just stayed home! Ridiculous!
