Then and Now

Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!  2 Corinthians 9:15
I LOVE being pregnant.  It was a much awaited and prayed over miracle.  It's surreal.  It's amazing.  It's also-- weird.  My body is in shock, some pain, and I run into everything daily. :) ha!  But I  just thought I'd post some thens and nows...

Where I once felt empty, I now feel TWO babies moving.
Where I once would see mom's and my heart would ache, I now am about to be one!
Where I once would wear bikinis proudly, I now wear maternity bathing suits-- proudly!
Where I once would pray to conceive a child, I now pray for my babies' health and for them to know Him.
Where I once could see my toes, I now see a protruding belly and belly button and it makes me laugh every time.
Where I once would sleep through the night, I now wake up at least twice to run to the bathroom.
Where I once would dream about having a little girl, I now can dream about TWO!
Where I once could fit into a normal bathroom stall, I now have to go to the handicapped one!
Where I once wore trendy heels and different outfits everyday for weeks, I now wear and rotate about four outfits and sport the flip flops everyday!
Where I one would dream about, think about and prepare for my upcoming school year, I now dream about, think about and prepare for Reese and Riley's arrival... WE CAN'T WAIT!!!!

THEN
Me and Leah (I don't remember being that size! ha!)

NOW
Me, Mom, Reese, and Riley

Cute pic from Kaci's shower!

First, you, your mom, and your sis are all such beautiful women. It has been so long since I have seen your mom, I didn't realize how much you look like her!

Second, I always found that the exact time of night I woke up to go pee when I was pregnant with my kids was the time they ended up waking up at night. Jill was 1 am and 4 am. Still to this day, that is when she sleepwalks! Emmi was 3am. If she ever wakes up now, it is at 3am.

Third, I am glad there are people out there who like being pregnant. I was always to impatient to enjoy it!

I really enjoyed this post especially the "where I once" comments. You crack me up with the bathing suit comment! Love that you wear that bathing suit proudly!

You look SO good! I stopped working at 27 weeks and I was READY, so I know you're starting to get uncomfortable.

Start keeping tabs on the places with big handicapped stalls. You'll need them for the double stroller when you're out and about by yourself with the twins! :-)

Just wait until you no longer fit in the booth at restaurants. I thought it was hilarious when it happened to me. I was bound and determined I would fit and finally I gave up and requested a table.

I love this post!

Also, could you send me your e-mail address? peteandshelley@sbcglobal.net

Thanks!
