Our Love Story, Episode 2: Falling in Love at Billy Bobs

After the Valentine (mentioned in Episode 1), Richey and I began talking a bit more and getting to know each other more.  One weekend in February, a group of us decided to go to DFW to get away from Abilene.  A group of us girls went together and a group of guys went including Richey-- we planned on meeting at Billy Bobs in Fort Worth on Saturday night.  (I was 19 at the time and R had just turned 21).  Kenny Chesney was playing that night and we all were dancing and having a good time.  Richey finally asked me to dance... did I mention that neither he nor I can dance?  It was so much fun-- we couldn't stop laughing as we struggled all over the dance floor stepping on each other's shoes.  That night, I realized that I really liked him and later learned he realized that he really like me that night too.
That's us on the bull at Billy Bobs...

JUST KIDDING, it's not.  I found it on their website and it made me laugh! ha!  Anyway... back to the story...

Back in Abilene, we started dating.  Our first date was at Mezamiz Coffee House (Remember that place, Abilene friends???) where we drank coffee and played checkers... I won.  :)  That was back when Richey thought I was shy... he laughs at that now... ha! :)

After dating about a month, we were at his house and I was about to drive back to my dorm and he kissed me!  I was so excited, however, the next morning, he called me and apologized!  What?!  I was so upset... he said he was sorry, didn't want to rush things, didn't know if he wanted a girlfriend, blah blah.  I was devastated and quite confused.  Who takes their first kiss back?!  He continued acting normal-- like he really liked me... so another night came and he leaned in to kiss me and I gave him a really hard time about it.  There would be NO taking this one back!  He agreed and told me he knew for sure that we were supposed to be together.  We call that one our "2nd 1st Kiss."  :)

Over the next few months, we hung out a lot-- Sonic dates, dinner dates, hanging out with roommates and their girlfriends, went to church together, sat together at chapel and had so much fun together!  He ALWAYS had something up his sleeve to make me feel so special... that's for Episode 3: Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder"  Stay tuned...  :)

LOl! You totally fooled me. I clicked on that tiny picture and tried to enlarge it because I thought "Wow, that doesn't really look like Amy but I guess it could be." I seriously spent about 2 minutes trying to figure it out before going back to your blog post and reading on. I felt so silly to read on the very next line that you were pulling my leg! ;-) Love your story!
