Yesterday I was at Target and before my shopping adventure, I made a stop in the bathroom-- surprise, surprise. :) While in the restroom, I saw a mom changing a baby girl that was probably 2 months old and she was SCREAMING. When I came out of the stall, I was washing my hands by the "changing station" and told her that her little one was precious. She looked up and noticed I was pregnant and said-- "ya, get ready! She's precious, but hates to be changed." She asked when I was due etc., I told her I was having twins, blah blah, and we walked out at the same time...I was a bit behind her. Her mom (Grandma) was outside waiting for them-- baby still SCREAMING-- she glanced at me
(Grandma) and said, "Don't ever have one!"
Then she saw me...
Daughter/Mom of baby said-- "She is!"
Grandma says, "Then don't have two real close together!"
Daughter said, "She's having twins..."
"Oh..." Grandma says. "Good luck to you..." she trailed off.
Ha ha! Foot in mouth! I might be naive, but bring it on! I've waited a long time for this... we can do it even when it's hard! I know it will be, but we're still excited!!!
Moral of the story: Don't talk to strangers-- maybe? Not real sure, but it was funny!

What a fun last trip! :)
Yes, I was shocked by the bachelorette, I like Jason. Oh well...just a show.
Such a funny story in Target...
You can handle it...anyone with infertility issues know that "we" don't take this for granted at all. I LIVE to be with my babies everyday even if they are both screaming in the middle of Hobby Lobby (yes, that happened last week). I talked to my nurse last week of my OB and had a question for her and she was floored when I told her I was still nursing them both at the same time at 4 months and was going to go longer. She told me, you really have motivation. Ofcourse you do, when you wait 3 years.
You will love being a mom of twins. You will have so many friends in public, EVERYONE ohhs and ahhs at you in public when you are pushing your huge double stroller with 2 infant carriers. Worth every second you had to wait...
Can't wait to see Reese and Riley.
People are so weird! Just because they cant handle it doesnt mean you wont be able to!!!! :) Youll be a great mommy! PS-I dont think Id like to be changed on one of those nasty changing tables either...but I guess its gotta happen! Im dreading that first trip out with Colton for that very reason!!!
Geez... two months and she can't handle it? Wait until her kid turns six (or as soon as they talk, really!) and starts talking back. Screaming baby. Bring 'em on. Those I can handle! It's the sassy attitude that makes me want to send them back and ask for a refund.
But seriously, why do people always feel the need to warn you how horrible parenting is?
That's hilarious. We once had 3 diaper changes during one meal at a TINY restaurant in NYC.....the bathroom had NO changing table so we had to hold them in the air (like on the movie Mr. Mom :-)). My husband just changed his first diaper on an outing last week (they are 11 1/2 months!). I was right by his side because it was a family bathroom. He was so proud. haha
Hope you're feeling well. You're looking great!
