It's a "Mini-Mystery" to me!
So, this is highly inappropriate, but I have to share... at school today when I was teaching Reading, I pulled out the Mini-Mysteries Book (see above) for the kids to listen to a story and then be like a detective and answer some questions to solve the mystery. So... I put the CD in the computer that hooks up to the projector onto the screen, so that way it would be louder. You know when Windows Media Player plays music and there's all that swirly stuff as well as the tracks listed? Well that's what was showing on the screen, however, something was terribly wrong! The tracks that were listed (in front of ALL the kids) looked a little like this-- but with the real words:
Getting Some
Track 2
Track 3
Got Some H**d
Track 4
Looking for Sh**
Track 6
Track 7
Getting Around
Track 9
Track 10
What in the world???!!!! This is a "mini-mystery" to me!!! Do you think a kid went in there last year and changed the names to inappropriate things?! It is absolutely mind boggling. The funny part is I freaked out and turned it off real quick (the kids didn't even notice... I don't thing), but then got the inappropriate giggles. I could hardly go on. I think I was in shock. Oh the joys of teaching...

oh my gosh amy! i can't believe someone did that!?!?
I am laughing OUT LOUD! Ok, did I pass those CDs/Books on to you following my exit from teaching? It could have been one of my rugrats. I know I had them, but you might have your own 4th grade ones. I can't believe that!!!! Do you think a kid from your class could really figure out how to change those?!:)
Hahahaha! How I wish I had a video tape of you freaking out when you saw that!
