Me, Susan, Katie, and Pam
This past weekend 3 girls from school and I went to Abilene to another girl from school's wedding... we had quite the adventurous trip. We got there pretty early, so I took them to some of my favorite places in Abilene! Except ACU... they weren't too interested in a tour. :) We ate lunch at Alfredo's (a hole-in-the-wall Mexican Restaurant), went shopping at Relics, Jordan Taylor, and made a 4 PM pit stop at... Eskimo Hut!! They couldn't believe there were places that had a drive thru for frozen mixed drinks and found it extra hilarious that they give you drinks in Styrofoam cups with lids and straws and expect you not to drink it in the car. I love Abilene...

The wedding was beautiful and the reception was so neat!! It was at her Dad's old farmhouse out past Abilene (Tuscola).

Cari-- it was so windy!

So, we had a great ti

me at the reception:

Then we decided we didn't want to fun to end, so Cari recommended the "happenin" place in Abilene: Guitars and Cadillacs! A Golf Cart was toting people from their cars to the club, so ALL 8 of us piled on for the ride. We walked into this club/bar and had never seen anything like it! There were people with missing teeth, people who were GHETTO, kids that looked like 16 years old, adults that looked 80 or so, the whole works! But... we had a lot of fun while we were there!
The next morning we slept in and went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast! What a fun weekend. I miss Abilene! :)

Hey Amy! I found your blog off of Leah's! I love it that you took your friends to Eskimo Hut! There is a new one in Denton now! So if you are in need of one and feel like driving a little you know where to go! Hope your doing good!
