Polar Express

I LOVE the book The Polar Express. When I was a teacher, I'd always read it to my kids- bring them hot chocolate and sneak a little bell into their backpacks before they left. My nephew also loves the book. So he and his mama (my sister) planned a FUN Polar Express play date right before Christmas. The girls had a BLAST. Everyone came in their Christmas pajamas... the girls' Christmas jammies were fleece footy pajamas :), but this day was unseasonably WARM (70 or something!), so we opted for jammie pants and Christmas shirts instead. :) Such a fun day.

Cousin love- Casen and Reese

Nana and Papa came by too! We LOVE having them near us now!!!!

The Polar Express movie was on!

There was a cute snowflake craft to do. There was pretty glitter glue to decorate with. When I told the girls they could decorate a snowflake, Riley took it upon herself to do it her own way. She put all the silver strings (that were to be attached to make it an ornament) on top of hers and voila: she was done and quite pleased. ;)

They decorated cookies- and ate them of course. Who doesn't like icing by the spoonful??

All the cousins stayed a bit longer to play. Casen is the girls cousin and Jaxon and Scarlett are Casen's cousins. Got it? :) They all decided to have a Scream Fest... must have been all that sugar!! :) Silly gooses!

pretending they're in a bathtub...

Mr. Potato Head.... I mean Riley.

What a great play date. You know I love a good party with a THEME! Thanks for having us, Leah and Casen!

I LOVE that book too. And what a FUN playdate theme. I might have to borrow that for next year (or that might make a great birthday theme)!!!
