At the beginning of the month, I had a GIRLS getaway with some girlfriends and had so much fun! I missed my babies lots, but had FUN in Oklahoma at my friend Katie's parents house. We went for her mom's annual Cookie Walk and her church's Living Christmas Tree. (I went 2 years ago before the babes).
The Living Christmas Tree was AMAZING. The singing was gorgeous and lights were too.
Do you see the people in the tree??
We got in the tree after it was over... but were too scared to go to the top! :)

Katie's mom, Mary Ann, is an AMAZING decorator. I just LOVED her Christmas tree!
The next day, Mary Ann hostessed a Cookie Walk. Every one brought 4 dozen cookies, then we all left with 4 dozen of a variety of cookies-- YUM! I made the Pioneer Woman's:
Chocolate Candy Cane Cookies
They were not only adorable, but yummy too. You should try them! (Recipe- here)

(J and K went to OU together, K and I taught together, L and K teach together now. Got all that?! :) )
At the Cookie Walk, we had a delicious brunch. One of my favorites was this delicious
Baked French Toast... Paula Deen of course!
It was so nice to have a weekend away and while I was gone, Richey went to visit his friend who he grew up with since they were 5. Reese and Riley were very spoiled and loved on by their grandparents while we were gone (Richey's parents). We both got back Saturday night and had a date night. Perfect weekend!
Next post... Christmas!
