As I mentioned yesterday, I made YuMmY SuGaR CoOkIeS with baby blue Royal Icing and baby Drew's initials (for my friend, Rachel's baby shower Saturday)! I used the recipe off Kelly's Recipe Blog... and I'll admit it, I tried one... or two... and they're delicious!
(far from perfect, but CuTE none the less!)
I love planning and organizing showers etc (like my latest roll as coordinator of our church Women's Christmas Dinner). I love finding lots of different ideas and pictures and piecing them together to create what I imagine in my head for the perfect decor, food, etc! I put all of the pictures that inspired me for this shower together on scrapblog-- like a Inspiration Board. Then, just today- I was reading a blog (that I love and has wonderful ideas!), Hostess With the Mostess, and there was a post from Simply Stated (Real Simple Blog) that gave a site that has a web application that helps you to create a digital inspiration board-- SO COOL! Check it out: polyvore. Here's mine (from scrapblog):
(I put some sites on some pictures- to give credit where credit is due!)
The pictures with the paper lanterns (OH how I LOVE paper lanterns!) are from Stem. GREAT blog! and the AWESOME pic of the "candy buffet" is from Your Very Own Fairy Godmother Weddings and Events blog. I started with Baby Drew's bedding (top right) and Rachel's sweet tooth and went from there... SO FUN! More to come after the shower Saturday!
And-- it's been a while since I posted a pic of my sweet girls!!! Here's a recent pic... can you believe they are 6 MONTHS OLD??!!!
