My Birthday and Valentine's Day Weekend

Last Thursday (Feb 12) was my birthday! (Along with good ole' Honest Abe).  I am now 27 years old and think I finally feel "Adult."  Maybe it's the two children... or just the number 2-7... I don't know.  :)  What a great day it was!!  My hubby woke up early and offered to get me breakfast from anywhere I wanted... I wanted a chicken bisquit from McDonalds!  Easy to please... :)  We ate breakfast together and he gave me this:Riley gave me this:

(Richey placed the boxes by the girls before I woke up!).  Inside the boxes were James Avery rings that I've been wanting since Christmas!

Two sapphires (Reese and Riley's birthstone!) and one amethyst (mine AND Richey's) that stack together.... I LOVE THEM!  Then Leah and Casen came over in the morning to hang out with us (and brought me FUN goodies: "Teeny Bopper" themed... Leah knows me well! ha! :) ).  Then... a knock on the door brought this:

Starbucks-- what a way to start the day AND my friend Susan who took off work to hang out with Reese, Riley, and me!!  SO FUN!  For dinner Richey brought home sushi-- it was a day filled with my favorites!

Friday: My sweet MIL brought me La Madelines for lunch AND an ice cream cake.  (the weekend was filled with WAY too much food! :) ).  That evening, our sweet friends Josh and Rachel came over to watch the girls for us so we could go out.  They're getting in practice because baby Drew will be here at the end of April- we can't wait!  So Richey and I picked up La Hacienda Ranch fajitas (the BEST) and brought them, wine, and my birthday ice cream cake over to Leah and Ben's house.  Casen was already asleep, so we got to hang out without kiddos and it was soooo fun.  

Saturday: Richey watched the girls while I went shopping!  His birthday is Saturday (2/21) so I had some shopping to do.  That evening we ordered Italian food and watched Fireproof.  What  a sweet movie with an incredible message.  We LOVED it.  I want to get the Love Dare book... has anyone gotten it??  

Sunday night my in laws came over so Richey and I could go to dinner.  We were just spoiled rotten all weekend long!  We had SO much fun.   It's so nice to get away... even though we love our girls soooo much.

Anyone watching American Idol???  I LOVE Danny Goeky... Richey and I think he'll go allllll the way... what do you think???
