* I have never known all the words to "Hush Little Baby." So... I've always just made them up when singing to my girls. It transformed into a silly song with the words I settled on. The girls love it and laugh and laugh at the word choice. When it gets to the ..."mama's gonna buy you a billy goat" part, I never remembered when the billy goat wouldn't do... so I made it goes a little somethin like this: "...If that billy goat runs away. At least we've got Cali (that's our dog) wali poodle woodle doodle all the day." Yep I really do sing it that way. And then it's over. Seems like that song never really ends anyway. This spring in our Kindermusik class, "Hush Little Baby" is one of the songs on our CD and we have sung in class. It's been nice to actually learn the words, but also... I've been BuStEd! The girls now know that I have been making the words up. We were singing it yesterday at Kindermusik and when we were singing, "... if that billy goat don't pull..." Reese started YELLING, "No! Billy goat run away, Mama. Billy goat run away!" Hahaha! I was cracking up. Everyone was just looking at us like HUH? :)
* I wasn't feeling well last week and after being dizzy for 2 days straight, I went to the doctor. (It was a virus and vertigo... strange!) It was only the 2nd time I had been to the doctor's office and I just have loved them. The ladies at the front desk, nurses, PA, everyone is so sweet and I love the sweet Bible verses on the wall. I had my mama drive me (while my dad watched the girls- thank you!). When I was getting up to leave, the Physician's Assistant that I had seen gave me a hug and I hugged her back- so sweet. A few days later I was thinking about it for some reason and it dawned on me... I'm not really sure if she was really hugging me. She might have been helping me off the table since I was so dizzy. HA! And there I was hugging her. Hahaha! :)

SuPeR SILLY! Love it! Your creative song words reminded me of a song my big sis used to sing to my sister and I when we were little. She sang it in Spanish... only for us to realize 10 years later that she made it up and it wasn't really Spanish afterall! She even said that she never said the same 'words' except for the first and last! Boy she had us fooled!!
I had vertigo a couple of months ago! Isn't it the WORST! I was miserable!! Hope you're feeling better!

I thought I was reading a post I'd never written, but think about all the time. I do the exact same thing, but mine goes like this... If that billy goat don't eat, Poppas gonna buy you a little treat, and if that treat's no good, Momma's gonna do something...whatever sounds good and is in my favor. I've learned it to, but somehow never remember all the words when singing to the girls at bedtime. Plus it's more fun to make it up. I do the same with You are my sunshine...
I had vertigo in January and went to a doctor who specialized in that...got all sorts of tests run and turns out, I'm dehydrated when I get that vertigo feeling. I'm still getting it every now and then and I pound a glass of water and feel better. Just thought I'd share!
First, that those are the CUTEST pics ever!! Second, I LOVE that you hugged the nurse back and then realized that she might not have been hugging you:) That's totally something I would do!
Your girls are so adorable! I have a twin sister and we will both be 30 this year :) Last year we both had baby boys within 2 months of each other, crazy huh? Twins....they do everything together!
