LEtTeR TaG

I wanted to play along with the Letter Tag, so sweet Faith gave me the letter "R!"  Good choice- don't you think?!  Here are 10 things I LOVE that start with the letter R...

1. Relationships: most importantly with my Savior Jesus Christ.  Without him I am nothing.  I am overwhelmed with His goodness, blessings, and how he always gently and patiently guides me through my trials.  I love how he has given me such a wonderful family and friends with deep relationships.

2.  Richey- My precious husband is the most thoughtful, loving, encouraging man in the universe.  He adores me and our daughters and he melts my heart everyday.  I love that we have so many inside jokes, traditions, and that we're so much alike!  He is a wonderful provider, an amazing daddy, a hard worker, and the love of my life.

3.  Reese: My "first born" (by one minute) is such an absolute joy!  Those sweet chubby cheeks started sneaking out even when she was 4 pounds and I could just kiss them all day!  She has a "light" in her light blue eyes that is memorizing!  She is SO excited when she sees me- she screams and squeals and smiles her HUGE open mouth smile and I am teary EVERY time (yes, that means everyday!).  She laughs and shows excitement- such a spunky personality!  She is a miracle and answer to many, many prayers.

4.  Riley: oh my sweet girl.  she has come SO far in her 4 1/2 months- she once fit in my hand and now is nearly 11 pounds and 22 inches long.  WOW- God is good.  I love our "conversations" where she stares into my eyes and coos ever so slowly, calmly, and quietly as if I know what words she is expressing.  Her smile always includes her tongue sticking out and is usually slightly "Elvis style!"  Her laugh reminds us of the Pillsbury Dough boy. :)  She's full of excitement- she's more "reserved" than Reese when "talking" and playing, but BOY can she CRY!  She's still our little drama queen.  Our gracious father granted what we asked from him.  (1 sam 1:17).

5.   Rest: I LOVE sleep.  After having the girls- and even when just Reese was home, I was absolutely delirious without my sleep.  I would "pray myself" out of bed to feed her (them) because I was so exhausted.  I love sleep, always have.  But- now if I happen to get to sleep more than 6 hours, my back hurts and it makes me more sleepy!  Weird how your body adjusts.

6.  Ribbon: I adore ribbon and bows!  Wrapping presents is so much fun for me.  Finding pretty ribbon and tying a perfect (well I try) bow on top of a gift makes me smile! I LOVE using  tulle and other modern ribbon- with polka dots etc.  I have different sizes of glass jars at my house and I love changing out the candy/decorations and tying ribbon around them for the season.  I'm easily entertained... Oh and I can't forget the adorable bows on top on my girls' heads!

7.  Reese's Peanut Butter Cups: oh my heavens.  I'm in love with peanut butter and chocolate.  when I was pregnant (that's my excuse anyway), Leah and Ben introduced me to Reese's PEanut Butter Cup COOKIES.  They bought me a box when I was over there one day while Richey was in class and I ate the ENTIRE box!!!  Had to get that off my chest...  try them if you haven't, I dare you... ;)

8.  Rhyming:  dorky as it may be, I love to rhyme!  Maybe it's the "teacher" in me.  I love making up poems and songs and I do it for the girls all day long.  I pretty much crack myself up. :) ha!  My latest dream job= writing Hallmark cards OR wording for invitations.  How do you get into that anyway?

9.  Rings: big, funky rings are so much fun!!  When I was pregnant I was so puffy that by 5 months, I couldn't wear any of my rings!  So I've been making up for lost time.  My favorite places with GREAT rings and other jewelry are Junk Gypsy and The Funky Monkey.  And this is my latest fav (it's Dian Malouf if you want one too!):

10.  Reading:  as mentioned in my last post, I am reading the Twilight series.  I just knew I wouldn't like it, but I was SO wrong!  I'm serious- if you haven't read it, you should...  I also LOVE girly novels by authors like Sophie Kinsella (Shopahollic series, Can you keep a secret, and my FAV: Undomestic Goddess) and Cara Lockwood (Dixieland Sushi, I do, but I dont...).  I read spiritual things from time to time too. :)  Like 90 Minutes in Heaven-- really interesting, my all time fav is Power of a Praying Wife (so powerful!).  Any book suggestions???

I tag those who need motivation or ideas of a good blog post!

Love it, cute new header by the way!!

Love the chunky rings!

Love reading! I haven't attempted any of the Twilight books but I've heard such great things I just might have to try them. Have you read any Christian fiction? It's mostly what I read. If you haven't read Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers I would definitely recommend it!
