Christmas Decor: Many of you bloggers have been participating in Holiday Home Tours-- so, I too, thought I'd post some of my favorite holiday decor... however, this year it's quite "toned down" due to limited time during the day (culprits: Reese and Riley)!
Our Tree!
Dining Room
Chandelier decor!
Mantle- my ornaments on candlestick holders!
I love silver ornaments! and I love this: Let the peace of Christ be in your hearts- my precious friend Katie gave it to me when I was struggling with infertility. It definitely made my day that day!
Our new stockings!!! I got them from Pottery Barn... QUESTION: Which way do you turn your stockings??? To the left or right? This seems all wrong... I think I would turn them to the left.... maybe not!??? I want votes on this! I might be delusional...! :) ha!
Really?? 6 days?!
It's not Christmas without candy! Peppermint Bark, candy canes... yum!
My FAVORITE Christmas Decor!
Treats: Susan and I were excited to try a recipe for Cake Balls from Kelly's Korner Recipes to bring to our Lee Christmas Party. The LoLEEtas (aka the teachers that taught at Lee Elementary... which closed and now every one is dispersed) get together usually once a month and it is SO MUCH fun! I miss those gals (and one guy)! Anyway, the recipe is Red Velvet Cake mixed with cream cheese icing then dipped in almond bark... well we couldn't find almond bark at the store, so we tried white chocolate. White chocolate and I do not get along... it brings me back to Halloween '07... ha ha! So after many laughs, trials and errors, we ended up making DELICIOUS cake balls (thinking we need a new name for them though...). Here's a play by play:
ha ha!
Before...
AFter! YUM! I highly recommend them... and they were great with semisweet chocolate!
We also made Ice Box Pie- it's so easy and wonderful! The recipe is one I got from my sister that she got from Annalee!
8 oz bar Hershey's Chocolate
8 oz Cool Whip
Pie Crust (I like graham cracker!)
Melt chocolate in microwave. And 1/2 of Cool Whip to chocolate and mix. Pour into pie crust and top with remaining Cool Whip. Decorate with anything... crushed peppermint, chocolate sprinkles, chocolate syrup, etc... Chill in freezer. Delish!
Sorry no picture...!
I WON! Sweet blogger and friend, Annalee, who is so super talented (and was my sister's roomie in college!) had a giveaway for ADORABLE garland that she made to display Christmas cards and I WAS A WINNER!!! She is awesome! Here's a picture (I'll have to post another picture with it hung up too).
Thank you, Annalee!
Next post... I will post my PRECIOUS birth announcement that my ACU and blog friend Sharon designed. She's amazing! I have talented friends! Check back soon...

My fav deco is the chandelier with ornaments, very cute. looks like you guys got a new table? I like the long wood look. and as far as the stockings,...mine are hanging like yours in the picture, pointing to the right. In fact, if I turned mine over, you wouldn't see the names.(I think you've got it right!) And by the way, I am very jealous of your win! I love that mitten garland!
Have a merry christmas!
love you!
I love all of your decor...your table runner is so cute!

My stockings go the same way..... should they go the other way? Oh well, we can be backwards together. Of course, I didn't think they looked backwards until you said something!
And? I just copied your chandelier decor!
