Richey had work to do in El Paso, and I decided I'd go with him. A little get away, time together, and time alone for me (while he works)... sounded GREAT to me/us!
Friday night we went to New Mexico to Ardovinos- it was delicious and gorgeous- seeing mountains isn't something this Dallas girl sees much! (and on the other side of the mountains: Juarez Mexico!) We had wonderful wine, food, and live music on the patio.
The sunsets over the Rocky Mountains were beautiful.
After dinner one night, we drove up to the "Look Out" point over the city- it was SO cool. You could not only see El Paso, but you could also see Mexico (Juarez) as seen in pic above. Crazy to be so close!
We visited a "must go to restaurant when in El Paso" L & J Cafe and it did not disappoint! Richey loved the green chile enchiladas with a fried egg on top. (Had never heard of that?!) And I thought their chips and salsa was some of the BEST I'd ever had.
Our trip did revolve around food... :) Crave is the COOLEST restaurant. Dallas really needs one. Delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner and a really cool atmosphere.

On Sunday, we decided to venture to New Mexico and drove thru the Guadalupe Mountains- which includes the highest peak in Texas!
