I feel quite scatterbrained sometimes and I'm pretty sure that Reese and Riley's teachers think I'm CrAzY. :) haha (That's why I buy them presents. ;) )
I'm pretty much the class "Mom of the Year." Let me count the ways:
- When preparing for Mother's Day Out last summer, I went to buy the girls napmats. Who the heck knew they would be so expensive?! The soft, plush, adorable nap mats with sewn on pillows and sewn on blankets were so expensive and I was too cheap to buy TWO of them, so I continued my search. I found some cute (but really flat... think a towel :) ) from Lillian Vernon for $14.95 each- score (and they had a pillow)! I made the assumption that they'd probably have those "gym" mats at school that they'd lay on and this would just lay on top. They don't. They lay on the floor on their flat, dinky mats. Ha! I have to send a separate blanket so they can cover up. So ghetto! The girls don't mind though. HA! Oops.
- Last week one of their teachers asked me it I was attending the Parent Appreciation Breakfast that week. I had no idea what she was talking about. She told me there was an invitation passed out the week before. Still had no idea. Went home and found it crammed down in the bottom of Reese's backpack. Oops.
- I ALWAYS pack extra clothes, panties (for Reese), etc just in case. Last week, Reese 'splashed' on her pants when going in the potty. The day that i DIDN'T have extra pants in her bag, so she had to go pant-less. Oops.
- Today the class is having an egg hunt. The kids were asked to bring 7 eggs each filled with whatever we want (candy, snacks, etc). So I showed up with 7 eggs. The teacher asked if I brought eggs for both girls... I didn't. Since I have TWO kids, I should have brought 14 eggs. ha! What was I thinking?! Oops.
