Jason and Kristie heard fromSully's Oncologist this evening. It has been determined that Sullivan has a rare type of cancer called Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma. It is a fast growing, highly malignant soft tissue cancer that occurs in childhood. The Dr. has told Jason and Kristie that they can not do chemotherapy on Sullivan at this point. The only treatment plan that was offered at this point is radiation treatment, hopefully by Monday, which could have some severe side effects due to the location of the tumor in his head.
We MUST Pray without ceasing that the radiation treatment works in shrinking the tumors, so there will be more treatment options, such as chemo.
We MUST Pray that this fast growing cancer will be stopped in its tracts, and that God will perform a miraculous healing of little Sully's body.
We MUST pray for Jason and Kristie that God will surround them with His love and that he will give them tremendous courage and strengthto fight this and be strong for their little boy.
We MUST pray for Sully that God will comfort Him and give him strength to fight...then fight some more. God CAN perform a MIRACLE on His little body!!

Please, please pray, my friends. I've heard about children with cancer and have prayed for many, but to be honest... THIS time it's hitting me HARD. It's my friend's son. It's my daughters' friend. They adore him (as does everyone that meets sweet Sully!). I'm having trouble sleeping- now I know why. God has me praying for Sully and his family all through-out the day and is even waking me up at night- he needs prayer. He needs a miracle.

Oh Amy---I cannot imagine. That is something no parent or child should have to endure.

I've been reading about Sullivan since you posted the prayer request on FB. I just cannot even imagine. Crying just reading the update. Continuing to pray for this family...that God would heal little Sullivan and receive all the glory!!
I follow quite a few caringbridge sites and this one... this one is the hardest to read :( Praying HARD for sweet Sullivan.
Kristie, Jason, Sullivan, and Jackson are constantly on my mind ... day and night as well. Praying scripture over this sweet family and for all the friends and family hurting along side them. Praying for a miracle for Sully!
Amy. I'm sorry that your entire community is going through this. The girls and I will include Sully in bedtime prayers.
Amy- I have been and will continue to pray for this family. I absolutely cannot imagine what they must be going through. Please keep us updated on how is he doing.
