these are the days of my life... (some ramblings)

well it looks like reese will be coming home soooooon!!!!!!!  we went to the discharge class last night so when they say "go" we will take her and go! :)  poor riley... we'll have to put a picture of her sister in her "house" so she can still see her everyday.  she won't be too far behind.  i guess bringing home one baby at a time will help me 'ease' into mommy-hood.  i'm already a mess with my crazy schedule-- i feel so scatterbrained and non-stop!  i.e... meant to wake up 2 times to pump last night-- don't remember the midnight alarm at all-- must have turned it off, woke up at 3:30 to pump and felt pretty awake (good preparation!), couldn't go back to sleep for a while, my dog started barking from her crate because she heard me in the kitchen, i woke up at 6:30 to pump, got ready-- had to try on 10thousand things-- funny how "cute" maternity pants are on hard pregnant tummies and how it looks not so good on soft after having baby tummies...after pumping one more time, I loaded up my car for MOPS with: a ton of fruit (for the breakfast table), a huge basket full of my favorite things (it was my turn to fill it up at my table!), and my huge bag with my calendar, cell, and some maternity clothes to return to a friend.  I of course was determined to carry it all in at one time- so after stumbling in, I finally made it.  MOPS was great today-- all about Party Planning- soooo fun!  Got some great ideas.  By the way... when do you start "feeling" like a mom?  I keep thinking- I guess I fit in... I know lots of these ladies and LOVE them to death, but I keep forgetting I'm there because I , too, am a mom... someday it'll sink in and I'll feel like I "fit" in.  So afterward, I was in pain because it was time to-- say it with me: PUMP, but first I wanted to get a Sonic drink.  Once I was home, I was pumping in my living room greatly enjoying my Sonic drink when I noticed a LIZARD crawling on my front door-- a pretty big one!  I'm such a wimp but I was panicking-- I was tied down to the pump just staring at this thing-- ewwwwww!  Then- it crawled DOWN onto the floor and I don't know where it is!!  What an awful feeling!  Y-U-C-K!  I was trying to see if I could see it-- leaning forward to peek when my dumb pump tube pulled a bit and knocked my DELISH Sonic drink over and it spilled EVERYWHERE!  Cali (my pup) was right there trying to help by licking it, but of course I couldn't clean it up right away.  So here I am feet UP on the couch (even though I'm sure a lizard can crawl on a couch if it can crawl up a door!) without a Sonic drink.... I'm off to see the girls now.

That is too funny! I was dying laughing because I can just see all this going on. So good to hear that Reese will be coming home soon. It will definitely ease you into mommyhood! That is a good question: When do you start feeling like a mommy? I can't wait to read others answers to this question. Great to hear from you!

So happy that Reese is coming home soon! Praying Riley will follow soon after.

I bet you will feel like a Mom as soon as you're home alone with the babes...at that point, it's all you! :)

Okay, the whole lizard thing...I would have been freaking out!

I don't know when I started feeling like a mommy. I guess when I was loading up my 2 twins, my diaper bag, and all the stuff you need just to go 1 place. I am so glad you love MOPS! I love it too!
I am sooo excited that Reese will be home soon, what a blessing. I will be praying for you, Reese, Riley, and Richey during this transition. You will be great at home with them. :) You are already an amazing mommy! :)
